Plane Food is a Gordon Ramsay concept restaurant located in Heathrow Airport. After a period of expensive and somewhat mediocre meals, it was a relief to eat something quick, tasty, and affordable. Prices were cheaper than restaurants in town - a real surprise for an airport restaurant.
We ordered the Cashew Chicken Curry. It was spicy but not uncomfortably so, allowing the more subtle spices to shine through. A lesson for me, for my future curries. There were little bits of cashew in the fluffy rice.
The real win of the day was the picnic to go. From the special picnic menu you choose your appetizer, entree and dessert all designed to board conveniently with you to enjoy on the plane. Even the cool orange lunch box is yours to keep. The entire 3 course picnic is £12.95.
